2011 was amazing!
I don’t think many of us expected what happened this year. We hit both the ticket sales and food raising goals, managed to bring people from all areas of the Midwest and had over 45 volunteers putting nearly 3,000+ hours into this event. Special thanks to our sponsors for believing there is something bigger to this area and to our event, and to our volunteers who continue to astonish everyone with their acting, level of enthusiasm, dedication, passion for fun and desire for a good time. Going on 2 operating years, www.hauntworld.com’s poll still ranks us as Iowa’s Scariest Haunted House! We’re pushing hundreds through the doors each night and raising money and food for some great area non-profits–and of course, having a good time empowering others to become more socially engaged in the process! Welcome to Gateway of Chaos!
Rated as South West Iowa’s #1 haunted attraction, Gateway of Chaos may be new, but its veteran directors and huge staff are proving they have what it takes. Thousands visit each year to see this haunt, then head into downtown Malvern to grab a bite to eat or check out the unique shopping. The haunt operates each October where 100% of the proceeds benefit the Malvern Area Betterment Association and other non-profit organizations supporting communities throughout Southwest Iowa.
